Month of Mission - November
The Angel Tree runs from November 14th through December 1st. Angels will be on a tree in the narthex of the church. All gifts will be going to students at Alcott Elementary School in Pontiac. Each Angel represents a specific request from a specific child. Please purchase what is on the Angel you have selected. Return your UNWRAPPED gifts to the Church by December 1. Thank you for being an Angel and helping to give these kids a happy holiday. If you would like an Angel and cannot come to church, please call, text or email Amy Garza.

You can make a difference by selecting one of the picture postcards of our Michigan kids hoping to find a forever family. You’ll see a basket of cards in the Welcome Center. Take one, post it where you can see it each day, and pray for this child’s well-being. You can also check out the YouTube video that highlights some of our Michigan kids: Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange Heart Gallery 2021 Video To learn more or to see all the children on-line, you can visit the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange at www.MARE.org
Come meet a representative from the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange on Sunday, November 21 between services to discover ways you can support a child who needs to be adopted. For more information contact Parish Associate, Rev. Kate Thoresen at katethoresen@fpcbirmingham.org. Count up all those minutes you pray throughout the month for a child or two, as well as your time spent checking out the information through the YouTube, websites and visiting one of our child care representatives on November 21. |
