Warm Clothes Warm Hearts
Our traditional Christmas season mission collection – Fort Street Socks – has grown warmer. This year, Fort Street Open Door ministry has asked us to collect warm clothing – including socks – for those they serve. These items are greatly needed during the cold winter months, and can be purchase for under $20. Please find (or buy) a medium sized backpack or bag with shoulder strap to carry belongings on the street (a used item is fine – think of all those old conference bags), and fill it with the following items: 1 pair men’s long johns, size L or XL, 1 pair warm gloves size L, 1 pair warm large white socks, 1 stocking cap. Return the bag with the items to the collection points around the church no later than Sunday December 13. If you’d like to help but you hate to shop, Fort Street can purchse one set of these items with a donation of $15.
