Staying Safe Online Workshops
November 17 & 18
Erin Bailey of The Social Family will be joining us to teach us how to be safer and more useful online.
Noon-2:30 pm (with lunch)
Parents will learn to prevent and address social media challenges like addiction, inappropriate texting, predators and cyberbullies, while focusing on the positives of social media and games.
4th-6th Grade Student Workshop
Learn to focus on the positives of social media, while also being able to quickly identify predators and bullies and quickly get help.
7th-12th Grade Student Workshop
5:30-7:00 (with dessert)
Highlights how to use social media to advance a justice issue you care about. Brainstorm/create an account devoted to an issue. Some time will be devoted to best practices to avoid addiction, how to handle bullying, and other safety issues.
4:30-5:30 (with snacks)
Teachers will receive online safety lessons they can use in Sunday school and public school.
Online Safety for Everybody
6:30-7:30 (with a dinner)
This workshop is for all adults who want to learn to handle identity theft, scams, robo calls and online depression.
