American Church of Berlin (Wider Church) -- $4,000

Provided assistance for start-up programs Laib & Seele and a “Learning Café” which will provide a hot meal to children.

Seminary Support (Evangelism) -- $11,200

Provided assistance to a seminary student.

Saturday Jazz Service (Worship and Music) -- $29,100

Provided continual support for the Saturday service for 2007.

Forgotten Harvest (Wider Church)-- $10,000

Provided the third, and last, portion of a three year grant.

Fort Street Open Door Pick-up Truck (Wider Church) -- $10,000

Assisted in replacing an old pick-up truck with a newer model to assist in food and clothing delivery.

Skyline Theologian/Artist in Residence (Adult Education) -- $5,000

Provided one year for a new position at Skyline.

Rejoice and Renew Interest (R&R Committee) -- $30,000

Fund interest on a construction loan in support of Rejoice & Renew.

Seven Days of Celebration (Music and Worship) -- $5,000

Provided funding for special music and liturgy during April and May.

Calvin Symposium on Worship (Worship and Music) -- $4,021

Fund attendance for ten FPC members (including five staff) to a conference in January 2008 which will focus on enhancing the practice of Christian worship and renewal of worshiping in the community.

Theologian in Residence (Adult Ministries) -- $5,000

Assist in funding a Theologian in Residence program for 2009. Pursuing author and professor Karen L. King which requires a higher honorarium than budgeted.

Walking Picture System Art Gallery (Health and Inclusion) – $5,459

Fund an art gallery in FPC (hallway that runs from Fireside to Knox) that will be dedicated to the artwork of artists with disabilities.

Seminary Tuition/Expense (Evangelism) -- $11,200

Provide tuition/expense for a seminary student.

Leadership Development of Laity (Youth Ministries) -- $9,000

Provide funding for a new program of developing laity involved in youth ministries. Two lay leaders each year, for three years, will be sent to attend youth ministry conferences.

Enhance Youth Room and Cave (Youth Ministries) -- $8,700

Fund the purchase of a variety of electronic equipment and games to complete the renovation of the Youth and Cave rooms. The objective is to build the FPC program and eventually attract other youth from the community.

For 2007, approved grants total $147,680.

Fund full or partial scholarships to support attendance of up to 20 individuals at the PAM Conference.
