Every family Feed a Family
“Every Family Feed a Family” is the theme of this year’s church-wide Thanksgiving campaign. You are asked to partner with the Deacons to fill food baskets and provide hungry families in our area with food for a holiday feast. Food will go to Orchards Children’s Services, Alcott Elementary School families, and Oakland Family Services. Shop as a family and bring your food to church as soon as possible. Sooner is always better! Containers will be provided for the food. You may decide to contribute money for a full basket at $60, a half one at $30, or a quarter one at $15. (see below for check information and deadline).
Here is a “suggested” list of food drive items needed.
2-3 Canned vegetables (corn, green beans, yams, etc.)
2-3 Canned fruit (peaches, pineapple, fruit cocktail, etc.)
Canned or packaged gravy mix
Canned or powdered milk
Potatoes (instant mix)
Macaroni & cheese mix
Corn muffin mix
Cake or Brownie mix
Frosting for cake or brownie mix
Dried spices and seasoning
2-3 Canned tuna
