Youth Ministries at First Presbyterian Church lives out its purpose statement through Fellowship,Education and Service. Please note to participate in any youth group activities, there must be a current youth permission slip on file.
Youth Ministries Purpose Statement
We are a welcoming faith community made up of children, youth and adults. We respect, encourage and support the spiritual journey of all. We are growing relationships with each other and with God as revealed through Jesus Christ.
Fellowship

February 3-5 @ Camp Skyline - A wild weekend of fun and friendship, sledding and spirit! Youth can sign up here.
FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians United in Service)
Sundays 3-5pm - High School fellowship group gathers to play, pray, and practice our faith together.
Face to Faith – Interfaith Youth Events

Super Bowl Party
Sunday, February 5, 6pm - Gather at the home of one of our youth families for food, fun, and the Super Bowl!
Dodge Ball Tournament
Sunday, March 4, 3-5pm - Fun and prizes! Bring a team of friends or just come and join in!
Laser Tag Lock-In
Friday, March 16, 10pm-7am - Grab a friend and join us for crazy, all-night laser tag!
Spring Chill
Sunday, May 20 @ 6pm - All youth and their families are invited to cook out and chill out as we welcome spring! Bring something to grill and a dish to pass.
Education
Wake Up to the Word
Sundays 9am @ ZUMA Coffeehouse in Downtown Birmingham - High School gathering for catching up on the week, learning, and growing in faith while enjoying the refreshments and atmosphere of a great coffeehouse.
Wild Word
Sundays during 10am worship in the Youth Room - Middle School gathering for exploring God’s Word through interactive and energetic lessons.
Sex and the Christian Body
Dates: TBD in the spring
A course for high school youth on God's good gift of sexuality. Youth can sign up here.
Service
Throughout the year, youth will have opportunities to be engaged with the whole congregation in mission opportunities in the Metro Detroit Area.
Mexico Mission Trip
March 31 – April 7, 2012
Join Yucatan Peninsula Missions in transforming community through building a school, teaching local children about Jesus, and sharing God’s love with our Mexican neighbors.
