Sunday Morning Gatherings
Soul Perch – Mid High Gathering (6-8 Grades).
Every Sunday (Except Family Worship Sundays), beginning September 8.
During the 10am worship in Soul Perch Room (216).
Life moves pretty fast in middle school, and we like it that way. But sometimes it’s nice to let your soul rest—just for a minute. This gathering is a great place to let your soul perch and get ready to fly through another week.
MUGs (me. us. God.) - Senior High Gathering (9-12 Grades).
Meets at Bigby's Coffee in downtown Birmingham.
Gather every week to check in on your life, dig into your faith, and notice how God is at work in the world. Transportation is provided back to church.
To participate in any youth group activities, there must be a current youth permission slip on file.

Parents of Teens
This fall we are excited to introduce a gathering for parents of youth. On Wednesday evenings at 5:30, parents will gather to explore a variety of topics relevant to parenting teens with faith. Families are encouraged to discuss follow-up questions over Wednesday Night Dinner at church. Dinner is $9/person with a $25 max per family. Drop in anytime for the discussion group, but please make reservations for dinner.
Discussion topics will include:
Þ Parenting in a text-messaging world
Þ Help for the exhausted parent
Þ Learning to listen to your teen
Þ Helping teens find their identity
Þ And more…
We have three intergenerational mission projects each year. The mission work is framed by preparation and processing of the experience.
- Join us in the fall for the CROP Walk on October 6!
- We’ll also help host South Oakland Shelter February 23-March 1.
- Dates for the 2014 Mexico Mission Trip are coming soon.
Youth in Worship
Youth are encouraged to participate in worship in a variety of ways. We have youth ushers, prayer leaders, liturgists, and sound board operators. More importantly, youth bring their energy, passion, and fresh ideas to our worship community.
