MISSION STATEMENT
The First Presbyterian Hand-in-Hand Early Learning Center partners with children and their families to foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth through creative learning in a loving, Christian-centered environment and encourages excellence in academics, moral character and service to others.
The Hand-in-Hand Early Learning Center has a rich history with the church spanning more than 50 years. Hand-in-Hand is licensed with the State of Michigan and the City of Birmingham. The school year runs September through early June for children age 4 months through 5 years. The core program hours are from 9:15am-11:45am.

Early Learning Classes
Tuesday – Friday 9:15-11:45am
You may choose one to four days based on availability
For children 4 months through 4 years
Three-year-old Morning Preschool
Tuesday and Thursday 9:15-11:45am
*Children must be three by September 1 of the registered school year
Three-year-old Afternoon Preschool
Tuesday and Thursday 12:30-3:00pm
*Children must be three by September 1 of the registered school year
Four-year-old Preschool
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:15-11:45am
*Children must be four by October 1 for the school year 2013-14
*If your children turns three or four during the fall of 2013 you may still register for the preschool but please contact the director to discuss your kindergarten plans.
Four-year old Enrichment Classes
Tuesday or Thursday 9:15-11:45am or Tuesday 12:30pm-3:00pm
This class gives the four year old preschool child one additional day aimed at fine tuning their kindergarten readiness skills through a creative structured curriculum.
Extended Days
Tuesday-Thursday 11:45am-1:15pm
For children 2-5 years
Young Fives Program
You may choose either the core hours of Monday-Friday 9:15-11:45am or the extended day program-Monday-Thursday 9:15am-1:15pm and Friday 9:15am-11:45am. This program is structured for children who are not ready for a traditional kindergarten program or those who miss the cut-off date. These children will benefit from another year to develop socially, emotionally, physically and/or cognitively through a comprehensive curriculum aimed at developing each of these areas.
Mini-Summer Camp
The center also offers a mini-summer camp which runs for two weeks in early June for children ages two years to five years of age. Registration will begin in early February.
