Confirmation
Confirmation is a journey into adult spiritual development. Surrounded and supported by the church community, students are given instruction on core topics of doctrine, polity, and theology as they practice and apply their faith in the real world. The class is designed for 9th grade students, but students may participate in Confirmation at a different age if it is determined by the parents and the youth pastor to be appropriate for that student.
Each class begins with a shared meal provided by one of the students' families. All components of the program are mandatory. If a student has to miss a component of the class, make-up components will be made available to them. All Sunday classes will be held in the Youth Room, 11:30-1:30

Sunday, October 14 FOCUS: The world wandered away from God
Sunday, November 18 FOCUS: Jesus is the way back to God
Sunday, December 16 FOCUS: The Spirit guides the world back to God
Sunday, January 20 FOCUS: We follow the way of God’s love
February 15-18 – Chicago Trip
Sunday, March 17 FOCUS: Faith statements
April 26-28 – Retreat at Skyline
Wednesday, May 15 – Confirmation meeting with Session
Sunday, May 19 – Confirmation Sunday
