Our Education Philosophy

One definition of theology is that it is “faith seeking understanding.” As Christians at First Presbyterian Church, we are not content to merely say “I believe,” and stop there. As people of faith we believe we have a responsibility to continue the lifelong process of seeking further understanding so our knowledge of who God is and what God has done in Jesus Christ can grow. When we study together we build our community of faith and grow both individually and as a church community. Please consider attending the following classes offered throughout the week.

Fall Class

"The Beliefs That Shape Our Journey”

Sundays 11:30am-12:30pm in Fireside.

Dr. Judson and Dr. Borchardt will lead a lecture/discussion class which will focus on what are our foundational beliefs as Christians, Protestant Christians, Reformed Christians and members of Everybody’s Church here at First Presbyterian. Each lesson is self-contained and so weekly attendance is not necessary. All are invited to attend when they are able.
